COLLABORATIVE FAMILY LAW

Court actions are time-consuming, emotionally-draining and expensive.  When collaborative law is appropriate,
it provides a better way of settling family law disputes and other matters.

With collaborative law, the parties and their individual lawyers make a sincere and determined effort to resolve the issues.  In the event a party wishes to withdraw and proceed to litigation, or a settlement cannot be reached, then the existing lawyers can no longer act.

Of all the techniques of alternative dispute resolution, collaborative law offers the most incentive to resolve the matters and stay away from the litigation process and court.  It encourages resolution and discourages confrontation.
